Race the State Rhode Island is made up of 5 legs: 5-mile run, 3-mile SUP, 6.9 mile run, 5.6 mile kayak and a 29.5 mile bike. Race the State can be run as an individual or 2, 3 or 4-person relay.
Starting in Little Compton and finishing in Westerly, Race the State spans 55 miles! Competing in Race the State is not only a test of endurance, but also of logistics. Having a support crew is a must if you’re competing as an individual. If you’re in a relay, how and where your teammates are will make all the difference in your performance.
